Alberto Gilardino hailed new AC Milan signing Alexandre Pato after playing alongside the teenage Brazilian in last night's 2-2 friendly draw with Dynamo Kiev.

Both players struck on the night and Gilardino said afterwards: "Pato is a very good player, above all very technical for someone so young.

"I'm pleased that he scored because he showed in training he can be a big player for the team this season."
