James Wilson and Tom Lawrence have been adulated by Manchester United interim boss Ryan Giggs following their Premier League debuts on Tuesday night.
18-year old striker Wilson netted a brace in his sparkling 64-minute display while 20-year old midfielder Lawrence look assured in his 70 minutes as the Red Devils defeated Hull City 3-1 at Old Trafford.
After the match, Giggs spoke of the youth policy at United and how he was delighted to see two players who have been with the club for so long get their chance to shine on the big stage.
"It's always been the way at United, to give young players a chance," Giggs told Sky Sports.
"He is a good player, he is exciting. He has trained with us the last couple of days and not looked out of place, and so has Tom.
"It's great to have kids who have been at the club for so long. I think they have all been at the club since they were eight."
