Giggs: Man City cash won't tempt Man Utd stars

Ryan Giggs is confident Manchester United stars will not be tempted across town to money-bags Manchester City. City have already set a British record to land Robinho for £32.5m and have since been linked with a £150m move for Cristiano Ronaldo and a £30m bid for Carlos Tevez.

But Giggs insists it will take a lot more than Sheikh Mansour's money for to convince United's stars to switch from red to blue.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "Right now Manchester United are still the top team. It's not very often that someone leaves here to go to City and I couldn't see it happening at the moment."

Giggs added: "The new owners at City are talking about a lot of money. They already have a good manager in Mark Hughes and are already a decent team.

"Time will tell. If they spend that money then they have got to be taken seriously.

"It is great for Manchester to have the football world focusing on both of its teams."
