Giggs happy with Man Utd squad role

Ryan Giggs insists he's happy with his squad role at Manchester United.

At 34, Giggs still has plenty to contribute and, as he acknowledges, the game has changed as well as his status within it.

"As the manager points out, it is not about 11, or even 14 or 15, like it used to be. Now it is about 20-odd," said Giggs. "People say I have been first pick for 17 years but I have been dropped and rested too. You have to come to terms with it. It is a squad game.

"If you are not playing, there is no point sulking, you have to do your bit. That is the determination which has to go right throughout the squad."
