Steve Gibson is not considering selling up at Middlesbrough as they prepare to be relegated tomorrow.
The Times says the chairman is passionately committed to the club he has transformed beyond recognition over more than two decades and whose debt will be slashed to significantly below £30m by the end of the present financial year.
There has been speculation that Gibson's alacrity for the challenge ahead has dipped or that he would consider selling Middlesbrough in the event of demotion. Those concerns can be dismissed.
"Absolute bull***," a senior figure at the club said yesterday. "He's not going anywhere."
