Gibson: Man Utd strikers must take chances
Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson was left disappointed after their Champions League defeat to Besiktas.
United suffered defeat in Europe for the first time in 24 games, despite dominating possession for much of the match.
“I think we played well in the first half,” Gibson told MUTV. “We deserved to score but we were a bit unlucky.
“Kiko [Macheda] and Danny [Welbeck] played well up front but we needed to take our chances.”
Wednesday’s result now means Sir Alex Ferguson’s men need a win or a draw to guarantee top spot when United travel to Wolfsburg next month.
“It’s very important to finish top because you get to play your second leg away from home in the next round,” Gibson said. “But I think we’ll be all right at Wolfsburg. If we go there and play well then we’ll win.”

Yes, as per Steve C, Gibson needs to point the finger at Gibson!
Ineffective in midfield, [not that Anderson was much better!] and embarassing with free kicks, he did nothing to advance his cause when given the chance.
I was very dissapointed in their performance.their had great chances but could'nt convert it.i think someone should pls talk to farguson about his sentiment in select the team.most expecially foster
