Gibbs, Walcott reveal sacrifices needed to make it at Arsenal

Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott say they have made big sacrifices to make it at Arsenal.

At a members Q&A last week, fullback Gibbs said: "To be at the top level you have to make a lot of sacrifices as a young boy.

"I have a twin brother and we sort of split different ways at about 15. I made a lot of sacrifices and that is partly why I am here at Arsenal today. You have to keep working hard and you'll do well."

Walcott added: "I think the main thing is to have a good attitude. You need to be determined to improve in every training session and you need to keep your feet on the ground, which is where my family have helped me.

"The money comes, the fame comes and you can't let it go to your head. You've got to concentrate on doing the right things and that means working hard and playing football."
