Gibbs to captain Arsenal as youngsters Reine-Adelaide, Holding return

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will make wholesome changes to his starting XI in the EFL Cup tie against Reading on Tuesday night.

The Frenchman revealed that he would play a similar squad to the one that defeated Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the previous round.

Wenger additionally confirmed that left-back Kieran Gibbs would once again captain the team while the likes of Rob Holding, Carl Jenkinson and Jeff Reine-Adelaide will also have roles to play.

He said: "It will be a similar squad to against Nottingham Forest.

"We will have Gabriel (Paulista), Holding, Jenkinson will be back and will play.

"Jeff Reine-Adelaide will play, otherwise I think (Alex) Iwobi, Lucas (Perez), (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain will also play.

"Gibbs - who captained the team at Forest - will do it again on Tuesday."
