Arsenal fullback Kieran Gibbs is comfortable playing understudy to Gael Clichy at the Emirates.

"I'm not looking too much at the past," he told arsenal.com. "I just want to bring my own side of the game into it and keep playing, keep enjoying my football.

"Hopefully I have shown in my last few games what I can do there. I am just looking to carry on really.

"Having had a taste of the first team it can be difficult [to wait] but I am still learning the game. Obviously it is a big club so I need to be patient.

"I am sure - like I have been given the chance before - I will get it again."
