Gibbs insists Arsenal slow start down to bad luck

Arsenal fullback Kieran Gibbs insists good fortune hasn't been on their side in the opening month of the new season.

While acknowledging that the team has not been at its peak so far this season, the England Under-21 international says Arsenal have had their fair share of misfortune.

"We have progressed in our last couple of games but sometimes we do individually lack concentration," Gibbs told arsenal.com.

"You see other teams do it but then their opponents don't score from it and it gets overlooked. But at the minute we make one mistake and it's a goal. It's unbelievable how much it has affected us but we will overcome it I am sure.

"We bring a lot of trouble on ourselves at times but it happens in football. We are an extremely attacking team - we produce a lot of flair in our game. I think we know that we cannot be amazing going forward and the same going back."
