Kieran Gibbs was overjoyed for Arsenal teammate Carl Jenkinson on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old defender made his first Gunners appearance in 898 days in the 2-0 EFL Cup fourth-round win over Reading at the Emirates Stadium.
Left-back Gibbs took the captaincy for the night, and although admitting leading the side was 'amazing', he insisted that seeing his good friend back in a red shirt gave him even more of a kick.
Amazing feeling to captain the team but even more to see my boy @carljenkinson back on the pitch pic.twitter.com/sryHE1PDhv
