Gibbs faces being squeezed out at Arsenal after Monreal arrival

Kieran Gibbs' future at Arsenal is in doubt following the capture of Malaga fullback Nacho Monreal. The Daily Mail says he was bought to replace the England left back.

Arsene Wenger is set to hand the Spain defender his debut today in the Premier League clash against Stoke, with Gibbs facing eight weeks out with a thigh injury sustained against Liverpool on Wednesday.

And Gibbs could struggle to win his place back, with Arsenal scouts rating Monreal as one of the top five left backs in world football.
