Gibbs delighted with Arsenal victory in Dortmund

Arsenal fullback Kieran Gibbs was delighted with their Champions League win at Borussia Dortmund.

The Gunners became the first English side to beat Jurgen Klopp's side in the Champions League.

"It is massive - especially after the first game [at Emirates Stadium] - because we wanted to come here and prove something and we have done that," Gibbs told Arsenal Player.

"We didn't do it in style, but the way we won the game shows we have a certain character in the team now and it showed.

"It is not an easy place to come to, not many teams can come here and get a result so we have to take that as a positive. We have put ourselves into a strong position for the rest of the group, so it is important that we take advantage of that.

"This is still a big week for us, we have a big weekend coming up but the last two games have been massive tests and we have come through them. I think we can go into the [Manchester United game] positively and try to get another result.

"We want to prove to ourselves - not everyone else - that we can do it against the big teams. At the moment, we are doing that and we're happy with each other."
