Giandomenico Mesto is happy at Napoli.
The 32-year-old was forced to sit out a long period of last season after suffering knee ligament damage but has still been handed a new deal.
"Renewal? We're talking about a one-year contract and it pleases me that it has been finalised," said agent Moreno Roggi. "It shows that the club have faith in the boy.
"Mesto is very happy, he is in great shape despite his long period out.
"This is an interim phase of the market. Napoli are doing what they had planned and are working on targets under the radar."
