Gian Piero Gasperini has signed a new deal with Atalanta.

The coach has extended his contract to 2022.

"Gasperini is a key figure for us and that is why we extended his contract by another year," Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi told L'Eco di Bergamo newspaper.

“The agreement is there, we just need to make it official. Atalanta's project is growing and Gasperini plays a decisive role in that.

“He gets the best out of all his players, above all youth, gets the team playing beautiful football and is adored by everyone around the club."
