Emanuele Giaccherini is determined to stay with Sunderland.

His agent, Furio Valcareggi, insists his client is determined to remain on Wearside and make his mark at the Stadium of Light.

"Giaccherini wants to stay at Sunderland a lot and stay in the team," said Valcareggi. "He hopes to have fewer difficulties than last season.

"The talk about Galatasaray is an invention."
