Ghana management are delighted with the form this season of Chelsea midfielder Christian Atsu.
Atsu, who spent the season on-loan with Newcastle United, has just a year left on his Chelsea contract but Ghana's assistant coach Maxwell Konadu believes he has already proven he has the quality to cope in English football.
Konadu said: “ People have argued that England is not good for Christian Atsu but he has his own style of play and I think when the opportunity was given to him, he grabbed it well.
“Atsu has been wonderful – especially when it comes to the national team.
“Even if he is not doing well at club level, when it comes to the national team, it is a different ball game altogether.
“So I am not surprised he has done well with Newcastle United."
