Ghana are making a push to cap Inter Milan's Italy U21 international striker Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli has made six appearances for the Italy Under-21 side, but is still eligible to play for the full Ghana national team.

Former Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe has urged the youngster to commit to the Black Stars.

Commenting on the recent racist abuse Balotelli has copped from rival fans, Baffoe said: "This situation is deplorable, but it demonstrates that Mario is not accepted as an Italian. His roots are in Africa, you cannot deny it."
