Ghaly leaving Derby for Tottenham return

Hossam Ghaly has played his last game for Derby County after boss Paul Jewell announced he would be leaving the club.

The Egyptian joined Derby from Tottenham in January on a temporary deal until the end of the season and played 16 games for the club.

But following The Rams' relegation to The Championship, Jewell confirmed that Ghaly was no longer a transfer target at Pride Park.

Jewell told the official club website: "Hossam had a really good spell and when I spoke to him he said he would like to stay in The Premier League, but if he couldn't find anything he would come to Derby.

"He has played his last game for us now and we will be looking elsewhere."
