Getafe's Uche accepts striker competition

Getafe striker Ikechukwu Uche insists he welcomes competition for places as he adjusts to his new surroundings.

The Nigeria international, who was signed from Recreativo Huelva over the summer, has struggled to match last season's exploits, but insists he's satisfied with his situation.

"All the forwards here have quality and it will be necessary to work hard to stay involved," said Uche. "When I am called on to play it will be great and when it is another teammate's chance, then it will be necessary to continue working and supporting my companions.

"I knew from the first day that there was going to be competition and that is good for the squad."
