Getafe have registered their interest with Valencia for midfielder Juan Mata.

Valencia are weighing up whether to send Mata away on-loan after landing the youngster this summer from Real Madrid.

Getafe have a good relationship with Valencia, but must see off competition from Racing Santander which are still owed a player as part of Nikola Zigic's move to the Mestalla.
