The future of Gervinho at Arsenal remains clouded.

The Sun says the £12m Ivory Coast striker was conspicuous by his absence when the squad touched down in Jakarta, Indonesia, following their 15-hour flight from Luton.

But club sources insist his absence was merely due to sickness, although they could not specify if he will join the squad later into the 17-day trip.
