Luis Suarez has heaped praise on Liverpool's supporters after making his first return to the club since he left for Barcelona.
The Uruguayan striker played in the LFC Foundation All-Star charity match on Sunday in a clash between Steven Gerrard's XI and Jamie Carragher's XI at Anfield.
Suarez spoke after the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, about how the Reds faithful hold a special place in his heart and that he was honoured to be back on Merseyside for such a special cause.
"It's great to come back to Anfield. Not just for the old players coming back but those who play now and for the supporters, for Stevie and the foundation - it was a special game," said Suarez.
"I've missed the fans. The atmosphere is unbelievable, it's amazing. Everyone who's played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know they are in my heart." industry? We can talk about journalism, we can talk about politics. So why should football be any different?"
