Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has rapped Manchester City chief Patrick Vieira for questioning the commitment of England's players.Arsenal and France legend Vieira claimed youngsters in our national set-up are not bothered about playing for Roy Hodgson's senior side any more.
But skipper Gerrard, who returns from a ban to win his 99th cap against Poland tonight, said: "I don't really care what Patrick Vieira says.
"It surprised me to read that. The impression I get from young players at Liverpool is that they're desperate to get into this set-up.
"You can see in their faces that, when they're left out, it has disappointed them. The young players are hungry."
