Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard can't contemplate losing the derby to Everton. Reds legend Alan Hansen says tonight's derby is the biggest in 30 years.
"You have to control your emotions," Gerrard, who is set to play in his 31st Merseyside derby, told the Daily Mail.
"They are huge games, but it is an important Premier League game with three points at stake. You've got to park the rivalry when it starts and concentrate on the game.
"Losing at Anfield is the opposite to winning at Goodison. It's a complete nightmare. It's difficult to put into words that feeling. If you lose a big game at Anfield it hurts for a few days but you have to move on. But losing to Everton at Anfield? That hurts for a long time."
