New LA Galaxy signing Steven Gerrard says he is confident of finally achieving the league success that alluded him in England.
The 35-year-old played for Liverpool for nearly twenty years and during that time was never able to clinch the Premier League title, but is now confident that with the Galaxy he will be able to finally get his hands on a league trophy in the form of the MLS Cup.
Gerrard said: "Once we get everyone fit, we believe we are the No.1 team; I get the feeling that everyone wants to beat the LA Galaxy and everyone wants to compete against us."
"And that is because we believe that - when everyone is available - we are the No.1 team."
Gerrard, who made his debut for the Galaxy last week, is looking to inspire his teammates to league success.
"... I´m feeling very confident I can score goals and do damage at this level," the Englishman said.
