Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admits they froze at Wembley for their FA Cup semifinal defeat to Aston Villa.
The Wembley final falls on Gerrard's 35th birthday, but the Kop hero will now bring the curtain down on his Liverpool playing days at Stoke on May 24 instead.
"We didn't play today, we looked very nervous for some reason," the returning Reds skipper told talkSPORT.
"We're a team that's built on passing and playing it quickly but we were very disappointing in that aspect and they were much better than us.
"We were very disappointing. I thought Aston Villa were much better than us today and that's the overriding feeling after the game."
