England captain Steven Gerrard blanked questions about Liverpool's manager race this morning.
With the Reds in limbo and Kop legend Kenny Dalglish having declared his interest in returning to the Anfield job despite Roy Hodgson being first choice, Gerrard opted out of venturing an opinion.
"I said on the record in Austria I wouldn't be speaking about matters at Liverpool," he said. "That remains the case.
"Now I want people to show me respect. I'm two days from a massive day, leading my country into the World Cup and I want to concentrate on that."
