Liverpool are set to bring a star-studded squad to Melbourne in July.
Reds skipper Steven Gerrard and star striker Luis Suarez are expected to be included in Brendan Rodgers' roster for the trip down under where they will meet Melbourne Victory on July 24 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
"As well as a full Liverpool squad, the club will be bringing over staff from the Liverpool FC Foundation to carry out work in the community throughout the visit,'' Liverpool's managing director Ian Ayre said.
"This will be the first time that the club has visited Australia to play a match and we are delighted to be playing against Melbourne Victory, one of the most successful clubs in the A-League.
"We know we have a large fan base in Australia and New Zealand and this visit shows our commitment to bringing the club closer to our fans all over the globe, no matter how far away from Anfield they may live.
"We are very much looking forward to playing in Melbourne and giving our supporters a chance to see the team up close.''
Liverpool currently sit seventh on the Premier League table with a squad that possesses such players as Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina and fellow countryman Jose Enrique, key defenders Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger, Brazilian pair Lucas Leiva and Philippe Coutinho, English youngsters Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson and Australian gloveman Brad Jones.
