The German Football Association has pulled the national team out of its friendly with Chile this weekend.
Following the death of national team goalkeeper Robert Enke, the Germans have decided it best to not take the field for the clash with the South American nation.
"It was for all of us clear that we could not play this match against Chile (on Saturday)," said federation chief Theo Zwanziger on Wednesday.
32-year old Enke was found dead on Tuesday after throwing himself in front of a train at a level crossing after leaving a suicide - it was later revealed had been battling depression since 2003.
