German legend Bodo Illgner knows Timo Horn is agonising over his future with FC Koln.

The Germany goalkeeper continues to be linked with Liverpool.

Illgner found himself in a similar situation at FCK when Real Madrid came calling and told BILD: "There is a similarly important and difficult decision.

"Of course, he has more time to think and has to weigh up everything. The sporting situation in Cologne is unlike mine back then. Timo comes with the FC from the 2. Liga, the club has established itself in the Bundesliga.

"The road travels up. And there are prospects for him here."
