Newcastle midfielder Geremi has told that he could be ready to leave St James' Park in search of regular first-team football. Geremi, who is under contract until summer 2010, has made just 12 appearances all season.

The Cameroon international, 30, told skysports.com: "I want to be involved on the football field. I am nearing the end of my career and I don't want to sit on the bench.

"I heard there is a bid for me from a club in Europe but I am waiting to decide what to do.

"To be honest, I want to play. If not, we will have to take a decision to satisfy everyone."
