Geovanni admits he's surprised himself with his free-scoring form at Hull City.

The midfielder said: "Obviously, I am really happy and it is a great joy to score the goals against Fulham, Arsenal and Spurs.

"I am very content and settled here. Opportunities come about in life that you have to really think about and I am really pleased that I have made the move to Hull."

The Tigers trail early-season pacemakers Chelsea and Liverpool by only three points, and have silenced those who tipped them for an instant return to the Championship.

But Geo is not at all surprised by his new side's start and insists he expected them to do well among the elite of English football.

He said: "We always try to do the best we can but we have got a lot of quality players here and the way we are playing is exactly what I was expecting.

"I try to do the best I possibly can and the team do their best, so what happens happens."
