Geovanni: The Lord works in mysterious ways!

Hull midfielder Geovanni is working as a pastor at a Manchester church in his spare time, reports The Sun.

The Brazilian, who previously played for Manchester City, attends the New Hope Fellowship Church in Hulme.

The 29 year old also runs football workshops with local children after moving to the city two years ago.

Pastor Ezequias Santos, head priest at the church, revealed: "Geovanni has been working with boys in the local area and doing some great work.

"Like Kaka, he is a Brazilian player who has kept his faith and remained humble even though his life is now very different to ours.

"He wants to be part of the community and help youths develop good behaviour, even though he now has a wealthy background."
