Genoa wing-back Diego Laxalt wanted by Everton, Bournemouth

The race for Genoa wing-back Diego Laxalt is heating up.

The Sun says Everton and Bournemouth may launch shock £18million raids for Uruguay World Cup star Laxalt.

The Toffees look set to miss out on Celtic's Kieran Tierney so will target Genoa's exciting left-back Laxalt, 25.

The Cherries also like Laxalt, who plays wing-back in Italy, but starred as a more orthodox defender for the South Americans in Russia.

The Uruguayan was one of their best players at the World Cup, using his pace and crossing to cause problems in attack, while tracking back to fulfil his defensive duties.
