Genoa striker Alberto Gilardino has welcomed interest from AS Roma.

Gilardino featured for Italy during the Confederations Cup last month.

"Every time your name is put up alongside big teams it is pleasure," Gilardino said.

"Now I am going on holiday, then we will see what will happen."
