Genoa striker Alberto Gilardino hopes to make Italy's World Cup squad.
Gilardino has scored 11 goals this season.
"I hope to continue playing as I am and be ready for June," Gilardino said. "If I am fit and I deserve it hopefully I can realise my target of getting to the World Cup.
"For sure, in these next few months I will give my absolute maximum for Genoa."
