Genoa signing Franco Zuculini has revealed he rejected a move to Napoli during the summer.

The 19 year-old Argentine moved to Genoa from Germany's Hoffenheim.

"I wanted very much to play in Italy and it's true that Napoli were looking for me," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"The negotiations were at an advanced stage, but then Genoa came along and I am happy to be here.

"It's nothing personal against Napoli and their fans. I get on very well with Coach Gian Piero Gasperini, he is a great tactician."
