Genoa have signed Independiente defender Julian Alberto Velazquez.
Velazquez is a 21-year-old defender who has already won the Copa Sudamericana with Independiente in 2010, scoring a goal in the Final.
He also has one senior cap for Argentina and is thought to have cost in the region of 1.8m.
