Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits he regrets failing to land Inter Milan winger Amantino Mancini.

"We had an agreement with Inter, with the player and his agent. It was all done, but at the last minute Jose Mourinho has preferred to keep the Brazilian due to technical issues," said Preziosi.

"Obviously we're sorry, but this is part of the game, it means we are going without.

"Inter and Genoa are on very good terms socially."
