Genoa president Enrico Preziosi expects no new signings this month.

Whilst Alberto Gilardino has since tied up a switch from Fiorentina, Preziosi has so far been unsuccessful in securing a midfielder.

"The market is essentially closed, but if there was another bad performance like the one against Cagliari then we would be ready to intervene through the market," said Preziosi.
