Genoa president Enrico Preziosi says AS Roma made the best bid for Mattia Destro.
Destro had been on loan to Siena, but now he is co-owned by the Tuscans and Genoa, making his future a complex affair.
“There was an agreement with Siena for us to bring him back, but it all collapsed when I stopped dealing with the matter personally,” Genoa President Preziosi told Radio Manà Manà.
“The Bianconeri therefore – and entirely legitimately – took up their option to buy half his contract and keep Destro in their squad.”
