Genoa president Preziosi left disgusted by Inter Milan triumph

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has blasted Inter Milan after last night's defeat. The Nerazzurri scraped a 1-0 win at Marassi thanks to Sulley Ali Muntari's lone strike.

"I am disgusted. The spectacle of the last 15 minutes was incredible," slammed President Preziosi.

"Seeing a team that aims to win the Scudetto behave like a provincial club is disgusting. They shouldn't have to resort to such tactics.

"I am very upset, as Inter's behaviour was disgusting and had nothing to do with football. Seeing even a champion like Samuel Eto'o put on such a show when he wasn't even touched was unsporting behaviour.

"I would like instead to praise Genoa, who made a good impression and did not deserve to lose."

Coach Gasperini was less harsh on Inter, but still agreed the 1-0 result was harsh.

"I'm disappointed for the players and the fans. We thought that we deserved a different result, considering how the game was played and the number of chances we created.

"We certainly would've had more options without the many injuries, but those who played did a good job. Towards the end we really piled on the pressure and had a really clear opportunity with Luca Toni.

"In any case, we must take the best lessons from this game, such as the team spirit. It's a difficult and long campaign. It's a pity to lose these points, but this isn't the kind of performance that should disappoint us."
