Genoa president Enrico Preziosi was delighted with their Europa League victory over Odense.
"It was a game we thoroughly deserved to win. We could have rounded out the scoreline further, but the team was able to maintain its balance," beamed President Preziosi.
"The 3-1 result is acceptable, we will play the second leg in Denmark with humility and without considering ourselves already qualified."
It was particularly good to see Figueroa score two goals, as the unlucky striker has barely been able to play for the last few years.
Since 2006 he has undergone two major knee operations and was loaned out to Boca Juniors, but is now back at Marassi.
"I am happy for him," said Preziosi. "This way he can start earning his wages."
