Genoa president Enrico Preziosi says they can win the Scudetto.

He said: "In terms of advertising, fans and sales there is a big gap between us and Inter, Milan and Juventus. However, one day we will win the title too.

"For now we need to continue to work hard knowing that we cannot compete for the title just yet."

Preziosi was surprisingly full of praise for local rivals Samp and their controversial star Antonio Cassano.

"I don't envy Sampdoria, but if Cassano played for us I would be happy. They are a good team, solid which is why I am not surprise to see them winning.

"Lippi doesn't want people to talk about Cassano and I don't want to put more pressure on him. But let me say that this Nazionale needs Cassano."
