Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is excited about the season ahead.

"We kept our promise to the fans, as they were fantastic and deserve all the satisfaction in the world," said the patron.

"We want to achieve important objectives while still keeping our feet on the ground. Our target is to be in the top 10, but having said that only three clubs are superior to us - Inter, Juventus and Milan. We can challenge all the others.

"To repeat last season's achievements will be very difficult, but the Europa League is a sort of prize for our efforts. Let's just say we are aiming not to go out in the first round, as that would be a terrible blow."
