Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has dropped their bid for Inter Milan winger Ricardo Quaresma.
"Quaresma will not be joining us because he doesn't feel like committing to our project," announced Preziosi following a meeting with agent Jorge Mendes.
"If this is the way he sees it, then it is only right that he remains with Inter."
Preziosi also revealed that another player will arrive for the midfield, most likely Portuguese ex-Inter teenager Pele.
"The next player we sign will be someone who has played for Inter. As for the future of [Raffaele] Palladino and [Domenico] Criscito, they are 99 per cent sure of staying with us."
