Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is disappointed Marco Boriello missed Italy selection.

The striker was left out of Cesare Prandelli's latest squad.

Preziosi said: "In my opinion, Borriello is the ideal attacker, one of the best in Italy and not only because he has scored three goals so far.

"He's good with his head, his left and right foot. Borriello is good enough for the national team, I'm absolutely certain of that."
