Genoa president Preziosi details January transfer plans

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has detailed their January market plans.

Preziosi has answered transfer questions on Marco Borriello, Emiliano Viviano, Juraj Kucka, Stephan El Shaarawy and Alexander Merkel.

"I hope he arrives," the Marassi President told Sky Sport Italia on Monday. "He did very well with Genoa in the past.

"If the opportunity to get him back is possible then we'll have a go, otherwise we'll do something else. If he does leave then Genoa would be his priority."

The Rossoblu have done transfer business with both Inter and Milan over recent years and their good relations are set to continue.

With regard to Milan, there have been suggestions that the co-owned El Shaarawy and Merkel could again swap clubs in January.

"Merkel is staying here, he's untouchable," Preziosi underlined. "El Shaarawy won't come back either. If he moves then Milan and us could agree to loan him to a different club for six months."

There have also been suggestions that Inter 'keeper Emiliano Viviano will come into Genoa after Christmas, with midfielder Kucka moving in the other direction.

"I haven't had any contact for Kucka yet. As for Viviano, we co-own him, but we'll discuss his future again in June."
