Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has confirmed interest in Napoli winger Edu Vargas.

The Chilean is eager for a move as he seeks regular first team football.

"We are thinking about Edu Vargas. He is an important player who we noticed some time ago," Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia.

"It seems that he isn't finding much room at Napoli, so requested a loan move. We are paying close attention to this situation.

"If Napoli were to give him away, then we'd be glad to snap him up."
